About this Position We are seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist with strong expertise in developing and applying high‑performance protective coatings for Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) environments. The role involves formulating advanced waterborne and solvent-borne systems, optimizing surface preparation, and ensuring superior corrosion, wear, chemical, and thermal protection. The candidate will work at the intersection of materials science and field application, driving next‑generation solutions across areas such as wear protection, corrosion resistance, thermal insulation, and smart materials. This position offers the opportunity to lead end‑to‑end product development—from formulation to testing, scale-up, and commercialization.

What You´ll Do

• Formulate and optimize epoxy, PU, acrylic, phenolic & hybrid coatings.
• Develop coatings for corrosion protection, wear resistance, chemical resistance.
• Oversee application via airless, air‑assisted & plural‑component systems.
• Troubleshoot coating defects (blistering, pinholing, sagging, adhesion, curing).
• Conduct testing as per ASTM / ISO / AMPP standards.
• Perform corrosion, adhesion, hardness, viscosity & weathering tests.
• Use FTIR, DSC, TGA, microscopy, SEM for analysis.
  
  

What makes you a good fit

• Minimum experience of 5 years.
• Qualification - Ph.D./ Chemistry and Polymer science, Material Science. Masters can be considered
• Coating formulation (waterborne & solvent‑borne)
• Surface preparation (AMPP/ISO standards)
