About This Position

• Drive technical expert supporting.
• Direct team to provide professional on-site and laboratory-based technical service, support customer trials, troubleshoot application issues, training, and collaborate with Sales, PD teams to ensure reliable, sustainable, and innovative product performance.
• Connect & translate customer unmet needs to product requirements, driving new product development together with PD, sales , marketing teams, with the aim of driving both customer satisfaction and business growth.
• Upskill, build up a well-in place succession plan for APAC application engineering in Metal coils.
• Outstanding project management and team management skill.
  
  

What you´ll do

• Direct and coach AE team to deliver technical service and support to metal coil customers.
• Lead AE team to conduct on-site line trials and troubleshooting to optimize performance of metal treatment products.
• Build up structured system and standard process of key application engineering process.
• Direct team to perform laboratory analysis, and share the corrective proposal to support complaint handling, new product development and line trial.
• Provide technical training to customers, sales and distributors to promote Henkel Metal Treatment Product and Brand.
• Upskilling & development AE team, with the aim of working together with sales as an “integrated” team to deliver value-added solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with PD teams for new product introduction, qualification testing and validation.
• Act as the technical voice of the customers, sharing field insights to improve existing products and influence innovations by collecting market trends.
  
  

What makes you a good fit

• BS degree with Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related field.
• Having experience in metal surface treatment or painting is required.
• 15+ years of experience in application engineering in metal treatment industry.
• Hands-on experience in lining machines, root cause analysis and method development.
• Experience in leading technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; able to diagnose sealing and process issues.
• Effective communication (both Chinese and English) and presentation skills; able to train, influence, and engage customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, international environment.
