About This Position

  • This position is principal engineer to lead “right to repair” tape applications, investigate new adhesive applications, new design trends with global team and sync up with China technical champion.
  • Deep engagement in consumer device applications, provide professional technical support, evaluate the technical solutions and project feasibility.
  • Set up the relevant new test or platform capability, high efficiency communication with different functional teams.
  • This position can drive the technical innovation, secure and drive customer sustainability with Henkel solid knowledge know-how.

What you´ll do

  • Investigate new projects and applications, work with GKAM, global AE and different local functional teams to sync up all the detailed new application information, evaluate project feasibility with solid technology knowledge, transfer it into real projects.
  • Cooperate with local technical champion to set up the necessary test capability for new project evaluation.
  • Works effectively with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, members of AE field team or project team members. Contributes to project with strong project management skills.
  • Responsible for product recommendations, new product demonstrations and troubleshooting and performs technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, etc.) to customers.
  • Responsible for products application / technical training for field sales and customers.

What makes you a good fit

  • Preference given to candidates with a bachelor's or master’s degree in chemistry or Polymer Science, possessing 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with exposure to the consumer electronics industry.
  • Knowledge of various chemical-based adhesives including epoxy, MMA, MS, etc.
  • Proficiency in application methods/development and technical documentation/report writing.
  • English can be used as the working language.
