What You´ll Do
- Develop and implement strategic plans for brands within the Styling category to drive growth, market share and profitability
- Effectively manage all products through lifecycle including new product introductions, discontinuations, to ensure product offerings meet customer needs and align with market demands
- Develop and implement pricing strategy and promotional activities to enhance category performance and drive sales.
- Partner with demand planning team to ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory
- Owns NPR process & local IDH creation for all applicable national promotions in accordance with product forecasting timelines.
- Manage the category marketing budget and investment strategy ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking ROI for activities
- Cross functional collaboration to support sales strategies and address customer needs
- Customer engagement and Market Analysis: Understand needs of B2B customers through gathering feedback, in market visits and analysis to continually improve category offering.
- Supports P&L for applicable brands to ensure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are achieved
- Fosters relationships with Global & U.S. brand leads to influence and optimize innovation, strategy and activations for success in Canada.
- Cross functional collaboration for cohesive execution of brand strategies and plans with functional teams in Trade Marketing to ensure adaptability to win in dedicated channels; Communications for tactical public relations and social selling to enhance brand awareness; and Creative/Education in the development of training programs offered to client cosmetologists for education of products.
- Conducts the strategic analysis of market trends, competition, and identifies new business growth opportunities/identifies potential threats to achieving the business goals and develops plans based on the results of the analysis.
- Develops and maintains national marketing materials, introductory offers and promotions and analyzes results to ensure that the programs are generating the desired results for ROI (Return on Investment).
- Regulatory – review of product labeling, Health Canada registration, compliancy (with NPI Specialist – supply chain)
- Find new opportunities and seek ways to improve processes and products to increase revenue, profitability, and customer experience.
- Field of study: BA/BS emphasis Business
- Minimum 3 years related experience in marketing.
- Strategic Thinking – Analyzes complex situations, anticipates future challenges and opportunities, and develops innovative plans to achieve long-term objectives.
- Strong financial acumen – thoroughly understands the P&L and levers to overcome obstacles to deliver topline and bottom line
- Customer Focus - Listens to customers, builds relationships, and identifies and resolves customer concerns in a consistent manner, or asks for help as needed.
- Influences and gains internal buy-in to create and implement strategies that will help meet customer needs and eliminate problems before they occur; develops systems to respond to lessons learned.
- Forecasts future needs of customer groups, identifies and develops opportunities for new relationships, and leads development and implementation.
