About this Position As a Quality Engineer at, you will play a key role in ensuring product and process quality across our manufacturing operations. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, support audits and compliance, and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency. This role provides the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams in Japan and the wider region, making a tangible impact on product quality and business performance.

What You´ll Do

  • Perform standard quality control testing on incoming raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods.
  • Calculate and report test results, recording test data into the SAP database. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) rules, procedures, and regulations.
  • File and maintain retain samples, dispose of old retain samples, and maintain a clean working environment. Assist Quality Engineers with complaint investigations and provide appropriate training to internal customers in the SHEQ area.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization within the quality department. Complete and manage any assigned projects determined by the departmental Manager, Supervisor, and Leads.
  • Develop tests and report on formulations, executing lab testing and generating test data and documentation. Communicate with various internal functions and execute the implementation of regulation changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing quality roles with 3–5 years of relevant work experience; experience in Japan is a plus.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, MOC, SPC, A3, 8D, and 5 Why.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Japanese: Business-level reading and writing (N1 preferred). English: Business-level for regional team communication (approx. 30% of work).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have

  • Certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience with ISO standards or industry-specific regulations (support and training provided if needed).
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with SAP system (training provided if needed).
  • Experience with process improvement, production optimization, and efficiency projects.
