About this Position This position leads key procurement logistics activities across Japan and Korea, shaping strategic supplier management and regional supply chain optimization. - Oversee regional and local warehousing, transportation, customs brokerage, and parcel services in alignment with Global Category Team Leads.
- Implement regional and local procurement logistics projects and initiatives.
- Report directly to the Head of Procurement Logistics APAC.
- Develop mid and long‑term strategies to optimize the global and regional supply base.
- Define and manage the supplier portfolio while building new strategic supplier relationships.
- Challenge and enhance objectives, financial targets, and risk‑mitigation strategies set by Global Material or Category Leads.
- Maintain industry insights, lead regionally steered sourcing projects, and manage tender processes, especially for M&A portfolios.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to drive cost reduction, improve service levels, manage pricing development, and conduct supplier performance reviews.
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is required, and a master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Logistics Sourcing and/or Supply Chain, with a focus on the Japan or Korea market, is required.
- Experience with the APAC logistics market—including supply base knowledge, general industry insights, procurement best practices, and contracting expertise—is required.
- Logistics sourcing experience in the FMCG or chemical industry is a plus.
- Working proficiency in English, Korean, and Japanese is required.
- Experience with MS Office, SAP Ariba, Transport Management Systems (e.g., OTM), and e‑sourcing tools (e.g., Coupa) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with strong influencing and persuasion abilities; project management knowledge; strong analytical and conceptual thinking; business case development capabilities; strong negotiation skills; and a team‑player mindset.
