What You´ll Do
- Set and Execute Global Strategy: Define and implement global market strategies for semiconductor packaging, providing strategic guardrails to guide sustainable business growth worldwide
- Market Intelligence & Opportunity Mapping: Stay at the forefront of industry developments, analyzing trends, technology shifts, and evolving material requirements. Translate market observations into actionable insights and recommendations
- Market Analysis: Map market opportunities by analyzing customer needs, component and application dynamics. Identify untapped growth areas and adjacent markets through in-depth research
- Strategic Initiatives: Develop and present strategic recommendations, including M&A proposals, to enter new markets and strengthen competitive positioning
- Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor competitors and market players, developing counterstrategies to maintain and grow market share
- Innovation Management: Oversee and prioritize the innovation pipeline, define and champion top projects, and ensure effective resource allocation. Assess business value and strategic fit, acting as a gatekeeper for project advancement.
- Portfolio Development: Drive the evolution of the segment product portfolio through innovation, managing the entire life cycle in close collaboration with Product Portfolio Management
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Sales, Key Account Management, R&D, and other functional teams to ensure effective strategy implementation and alignment across the organization
- Portfolio Positioning: Define new product pricing strategies based on market value propositions and alignment with the overall company portfolio
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Market Strategy Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and strategic excellence
- Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering, Material Science, Electronics, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in market strategy, business development, or product management within the electronics or semiconductor industry, with a strong emphasis on advanced materials and packaging technologies
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing global market strategies, including experience with market entry, M&A, and competitive intelligence
- Deep understanding of semiconductor packaging processes, materials, and market trends
- Strong ability to synthesize complex market data and trends into clear, actionable strategies
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
- Track record of driving innovation and managing product portfolios throughout their life cycles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence and present effectively at executive level
- Experience working in a global environment and willingness to travel internationally as required
- Fluency in English; ideally also Mandarin, additional languages are a plus
