About this Position The Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive business intelligence reports and dashboards. The role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights while ensuring adherence to corporate BI standards, data accuracy, and optimal user experience. The role also includes monitoring and identifying data breaks, ensuring data consistency across systems, and collaborating with data engineering teams to resolve any data issues within an Azure-based or enterprise BI environment.

- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop reusable report templates and standardized visuals.
- Optimize report performance and usability (filters, drill downs, tooltips).
- Implement data models provided by data engineers / backend developers.
- Apply row level security (RLS) where required.
- Ensure reports follow corporate BI and UX standards.
- Support UAT, troubleshooting, and report enhancements.
- Document reports, metrics definitions, and usage guidelines.
- Identify, investigate, and report data breaks (missing, inconsistent, or incorrect data).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience in Power BI development (Desktop & Service), report design & publishing.
- Experience in enterprise BI or Azure environments is an advantage.
- DAX & semantic modeling (measures, RLS, relationships, governance).
- Data modeling (star schema) & Power Query (M).
- Data visualization & UX (filters, slicers, drill-through, bookmarks).
- Performance optimization & large dataset handling.
- SQL for data validation.
- Storage modes (Import, DirectQuery, Composite, Direct Lake).
- Microsoft Fabric & Azure ecosystem (OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse).
- Databricks / governed data sources.
- Strong communication & stakeholder focus, with a collaborative approach and openness to feedback & continuous improvement.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong prioritization, multitasking, and a structured approach to dashboard design.
