About this Position The DevOps / Platform Engineer supports the development and operation of Henkel’s enterprise metadata platform, DataHub. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable platform engineering, infrastructure, and cloud operations solutions that support a centralized ecosystem serving global data consumers.
As part of a hands-on engineering environment, the position contributes to platform reliability, automation, observability, security, and cloud-native capabilities that strengthen how enterprise data solutions are deployed, operated, and scaled across Henkel.

What You´ll Do
- Build, maintain, and optimize Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Manage and enhance cloud-native platform operations supporting DataHub and related enterprise services and dependencies.
- Maintain and improve infrastructure automation solutions using Helm, Kustomize, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines supporting reliable multi-environment platform delivery and automation.
- Support Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services including networking, identity, secrets management, and operational configurations.
- Configure and enhance monitoring, observability, alerting, and logging solutions to improve platform reliability and operational performance.
- Support platform security, identity management, and compliance capabilities across cloud-native environments.
- Contribute to performance testing, platform scalability, and operational stability initiatives.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to support scalable and reliable enterprise platform solutions.
- Support engineering best practices including automation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous platform enhancements.
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes-based environments in production.
- Experience managing Kubernetes workloads, networking, storage, scaling, and containerized platform operations.
- Experience with Helm, Kustomize, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices such as Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services, preferably Microsoft Azure and AKS.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and multi-environment deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, shell scripting, and container debugging.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging solutions such as Datadog or similar tools is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Kafka, OpenSearch, GitOps practices, or platform engineering solutions is an advantage.
- Scripting and automation experience with Python or similar technologies is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
