About this Position As a Data Management Specialist, you play a key role in enabling trusted, high-quality data across Henkel by ensuring the execution, adoption, and continuous improvement of data governance processes. You coordinate operational activities, support governance workflows, and drive transparency and compliance. By strengthening documentation, ownership clarity, and process consistency, you contribute to sustainable data governance excellence across business and IT.

What You´ll Do
- Execute and improve data governance processes across domains (e.g., data ownership, data quality management, metadata maintenance, data lifecycle management)
- Coordinate and streamline regulatory and privacy workflows (e.g., GDPR), ensuring consistent execution across domains
- Own and maintain the governance knowledge base (e.g., enhance content, ensure usability, integrate new processes, align with governance standards)
- Ensure process transparency and audit readiness by maintaining structured, complete, and accessible documentation and evidence
- Track governance activities and support reporting by maintaining process status and providing inputs for dashboards
- Establish feedback loops and KPIs to measure and continuously improve governance effectiveness and adoption
- Support data consumers and producers across Henkel in governance-related topics and processes
- Good understanding of data governance and data management principles (data ownership, quality, metadata, lifecycle)
- Working knowledge of governance tools and platforms (e.g., DataHub, PowerBI, or similar)
- Familiarity with GDPR, compliance workflows, and structured data validation
- Strong attention to documentation quality, structure, and completeness
- Ability to track processes, maintain status, and support reporting and monitoring activities
- Clear, structured communication of requirements, status, and next steps
- Strong sense of ownership and reliability in execution and follow-ups
- Ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT stakeholders
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling compliance-related topics
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Management, Business Informatics)
- Certifications are a plus (e.g., DAMA CDMP – foundation level, CIPP/E, or similar)
