About this Position Accountable for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Production Planners to ensure robust, accurate, and timely mid- and short-term production planning for the coming 0-18 months across assigned assets. Responsible for creating team capability, optimizing planning performance, ensuring supply continuity, and aligning planning outcomes with S&OP, Supply Review, and business priorities.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Production Planners, building capability in end-to-end mid- and short-term production planning.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular 1:1s, and ensure effective performance management, coaching, and skills development.
- Ensure adequate resource allocation, workflow prioritization, and resilience within the planning team
- Drive team engagement and foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee development of feasible, optimized mid-term Production Plans (Month 4–18) and short-term Master Production Schedules (MPS, 0–13 weeks).
- Ensure application of Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) standards and correct modeling of machine, labor, supplier, and material capacities.
- Review and validate planning outputs, highlighting risks, opportunities, and scenario impacts to leadership and S&OP teams.
- Secure alignment of production planning with demand planning, material availability, inventory policy, and network constraints.
- Work with S&OP Manager, Production Schedulers, Material Planners, and Operations to resolve major constraints and propose options with quantified impact.
- Ensure structured, timely communication to stakeholders and proactive risk mitigation.
- Close collaboration with internal/external key interfaces, mainly via APS, judging and aligning priorities to meet customer expectations and needs vs. supply chain capabilities; monitor and ensure delivery of other functions commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within planning, including workflow optimization and standardization. and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
- act as facilitator for roll out of identified regional best practices.
- Monitor and prioritize own and team’s performance; allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure the required standards of productivity, timeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal; use KPI’s, performance management systems and reports to improve personal and team’s performance.
- Plan resources/activities according to demand to ensure business continuity, enhance efficiencies and improve service levels. Actively prepare and participate in team meetings to align priorities.
- Ensure that planning activities comply with corporate standards, SHE requirements, and sustainability policies.
- Minimal education required for the position: Bachelor degree
- Minimal work experience required in years: 5-8 years of experience in Production Planning and/or Supply Chain Planning, including leadership experience
