What You´ll Do
- Lead and drive new product development programs, aligning project execution with business priorities and delivering measurable innovation outcomes.
- Define technical direction and experimental strategies, guiding project execution and decision-making, leveraging deep expertise in adhesive formulation to enable efficient product development.
- Develop and scale advanced adhesive formulations, ensuring readiness for commercialization and on-time market delivery.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact technical presentations, communicating insights, data, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders, customers, and external conferences.
- Engage directly with customers to understand needs, resolve technical challenges, and deliver timely, solution-oriented responses.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making, ensuring project success and business impact with global teams to align on project objectives, accelerate execution, and ensure successful product outcomes.
- Lead and develop junior chemists and lab chemists, providing technical guidance, setting priorities, and fostering a high-performance team environment.
- Monitor technology trends, IP landscape and define and execute IP strategies to strengthen competitive advantage.
- Ensure all laboratory work meets safety, regulatory, and operational standards, promoting best practices in PPE compliance and 6S execution.
- Leverage digital tools and data-driven approaches to improve PD efficiency, decision-making, and knowledge management.
- Serve as the technical lead in the assigned area, setting direction, providing expert guidance, and driving technology advancement.
- Ph.D. with a minimum of 5-8 years, or Master’s degree with at least 8-10 years of highly relevant industry experience in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field. Candidates with a strong track record in adhesive technologies are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated deep expertise in adhesive formulation development is required, with proven hands-on experience. Advanced knowledge in resin systems, thermosetting chemistries, and filler surface modification is highly desirable.
- Extensive hands-on experience in formulation mixing processes is expected. Proficiency with equipment such as three-roll mills, high-speed mixers, and planetary mixers is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong and proven analytical capabilities in chemical characterization, formulation-process interactions, and root-cause analysis of failure modes after rigorous reliability testing are required.
- Proven success in driving products from concept to commercialization, including scaling up and market launch, is highly preferred. Candidates with multiple successful product launches will be prioritized.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with global stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
