Our current challenge is to optimize our publishing processes in combination with AI.

For this we are building features in our extensible, modular, end to end and multi brand publishing framework which enables the company to write and publish articles on all our brands using one technology. This means that your code will have a direct impact on more than 10 Mio unique users a day and carries the need to high quality in all areas from code to SEO, to speed, to legal. • The role involves working in an interdisciplinary team alongside content managers, product experts and video specialists
• You will do feature-development for the publishing framework
• The task assigned to you is the implementation of a team-owned project aimed at automating and optimizing our publishing process
• You will include AI in the optimization process and use it in a purposeful way
• You will work directly in cooperation with the team which is building the extensible and modular publishing platform/framework to run our optimization on all BurdaForward portfolio bands

What we would expect from you...

• You have experience in backend and frontend development skills
• You are strong in building web applications and APIs using HTML, CSS, Javascript and Typescript in combination with Node.js and frameworks like Express
• You have experience in any web-development frontend frameworks like VueJs, ReactJs, Angular, Svelte
• You have knowledge in CSS preprocessors like SASS, SCSS
• You are comfortable in writing code both in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Nice to have: experience with cloud technologies like AWS Lambda, ECS, SQS/SNS, S3 or comparable
• You have basic knowledge of testing applications with unit and integration tests
• You have experience in working in interdisciplinary teams and you have fun in working with international and remote teams
• You have good English or German communication skills
