Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, San Francisco, CA: Develop and build next generation company’s cloud platform components specifically components that are part of the business support system. Align development deliverables for billing and order management components with architectural strategies and business objectives laid down by the architectural and offering management teams for the evolution of the cloud platform. Understand the architectural direction, convert the architectural direction into technical requirements, design documents and translate them into code implementation. Act as a part of Cloud development team, develop features that need to be evolved continuously and address the issues on a regular basis. Follow continuous integration methodologies and implement test automation that will validate and identify any issues before the code gets pushed to production. Develop real time monitoring for the deliverables. Identify and fix any production issues as they occur. Create appropriate application programming interfaces for billing service by following the REST (Representational State Transfer) interface design. Develop the APIs responsible for doing load testing of the APIs. Utilize: JavaScript/NodeJS, SQL Database management, Agile development for SDLC, Bash scripting and YAML. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing JavaScript/NodeJS, SQL Database management, Agile development for SDLC, Bash scripting and YAML. $215,197.00 to $235,000.00 per year. Full time.
