QA/Test Developer, IBM Corporation, Cambridge, MA (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted): Design QE methodology and test approaches that validate features developed by Agile/Scrum teams and ensure the accuracy of the requirements. Drive, scope, design and code automated tests. Create automation best practices. Participate in the Agile process by being an active contributor in daily stand-ups, sprint kick-offs, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Make recommendations for improvements in engineering the products. Perform manual and automated QE processes for new releases, and for routine maintenance. Report defects and testing status. Design test environment in QE Lab. Simulate real-world deployments of the products and reproduce customer issues. Utilize: Object Oriented Programming – Python, Perl, Java Script, Shell Scripting, Virtualization technologies – VMware vSphere, vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V, CI/CD tools Jenkins, Gitlab, Data Storage Arrays – EMC, Dell, HPE, Kubernetes and Docker containers, Agile Software Development & Testing. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer, Software Developer, Application Consultant or related.
