Software Performance Analyst, IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Work on improving performance of Java, C/C++, COBOL, and other compilers. Collaborate with Hardware designers to advance the frontiers and contribute to both fields. Coordinate with the team to understand requirements and set up new/existing configurations. Test and debug hardware, software services and applications. Gather data and follow performance testing conventions. Mine and analyze performance data. Improve functionality of existing processes. Prepare test result summary reports. Analyze requirements and provide technical solutions. Act as subject matter expert for testing dynamic partition management technologies. Formulate Engineering Systems Test designed test plans and test cases. Perform mainframe machine configuration, operation, maintenance, and workload execution. Perform error analysis and investigation, troubleshoot bugs and defect reporting. Generate code and create automation scripts and implement them on Mainframes. Develop and analyze claims and proof points for the machine workloads. Utilize: Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence-Programming, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Data Analytics, Database Management System, Agile Software Methodology. Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or related.
