Your Role and Responsibilities
The Lab Network Engineer is responsible for implementing new networking solutions, configuring existing lab environments for specific use cases and maintaining up to date systems across a wide variety of technologies and vendors with a strong focus on SDWAN deployments. Working alongside the Principle Network Architect, the Lab Network Engineer, is a trusted subject matter expert and will work with vendors to address technical knowledge and use case configuration setups for the Engineering organization needs.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Networking (UDP, TCP/IP, Scaled data streaming)
- Data Center/Servers (Cisco ACI, SAN Storage, Linux, System Administration)
- Virtualization (ESXi, KVM, Docker, public clouds)
- SDWAN (Cisco, Nokia, Fortinet, Silver peak, Velocloud)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong troubleshooting methodologies and ability to work on your own or as part of a team.
- Certifications are a plus (Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft)
- Experience with distributed data at scale preferred but not required
- Basic coding/scripting (Bash, PHP, JSON, Jaba, XML)
