Introduction
At IBM, work is more than a job – it’s a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you’ve never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems? If so, lets talk.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Do you love leading a world-class engineering team that writes clean code, uses modern architecture, and ensures rapid value delivery? Are you a mentor and coach who helps good engineers become truly great? We’re looking for an engineering manager like you to join our growing team! Apptio portfolio is powered by dozens of microservices teams with “you build it you own it” culture. We are forming a new Developer Productivity team that will enable Apptio service teams to accelerate production deployment with confidence. The charter of the team is to create a reference implementation for deployment and testing pipelines and enable the service teams to maintain the DevOps culture without recreating the wheel.

Apptio operates a cloud-based Kubernetes platform. Apptio products are built with a wide variety of technologies: AWS services, Golang, React, Python with deployment pipelines standardized on GitHub Actions and Argo. The new team is expected to take Apptio delivery to the next level and unlock one touch automated deployments across multiple dependent services, rapid cloud and region expansion and execution of DR.
