Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect within you’ll help deliver unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their enterprise transformation programs.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Technical Leadership: Act as the overall technical single point of contact for client-facing experiential engagements that encompass a broad range of public and hybrid cloud technologies.
- Solution Development: Utilize expertise in contemporary cloud, AI, and analytics skills to develop frameworks and integrated solutions that address prospective clients’ most challenging problems, using products and services from IBM’s offerings.
- Solution Delivery: Manage all aspects of integrated solution delivery, from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the delivery of solutions, ensuring they provide business value. Make sure that final proposals include provisions for security and reliability while meeting clients’ current and future needs.
- Solutions Architecture Ownership: Take ownership of the solutions architecture plan and participate as a hands-on builder and developer in client-facing engagements.
- Continuous Knowledge Expansion: Continually expand your knowledge in relevant areas, including business, industry, technology, and competitive benchmarks
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hybrid Cloud Proficiency: Proficiency in a wide range of hybrid cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, Containers, Cyber Security, Red Hat OpenShift, and IBM Cloud Paks.
- Technical Leadership and Solutioning: Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance for customer-facing technical solutions teams and facilitate experiential problem discovery, framing, and solutioning sessions.
- Agile Project Management: Experience with Agile best practices to ensure the on-time delivery of complex technology projects, including methodologies like extreme programming, paired programming, scrum, and test-driven development
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver compelling presentations, instilling ‘trusted advisor’ confidence and credibility, which quickly builds trust and mutual respect with diverse stakeholders, from coders to the c-suite.
- Experience in Technical Domains: Expertise in diverse technical domains, including application modernization, business automation, Site Reliability Engineering, AIOps, Edge Computing, integration technologies, and data engineering technologies
