Your Role and Responsibilities
This role will manage multiple product development areas at the same time and mostly focused on technicalprojects. This means in this role, you will have a technical background but also have great project management skills to manage programs. To be successful in this very complex role, you will possess many interdisciplinary skills, including communicating with top level executives, multiple product teams, and subject matter experts across multiple product lines. You will coordinate projects across many disciplines who all have stakes in a technical project, including Sales, Product Manager, Development, Services, and Business Partners. You possess
a technical background because you will need to understand and traverse technical
dependencies, work very closely with deeply technical people, project managers, and release managers, to ensure the roadmap and often non-technical dependencies and deliverables are on track.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Communicate with Stakeholders (Executives, Development Managers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Developers, Architects, Security compliance teams, etc.)
- Leadership and influence, sometimes without explicit authority.
- Have at least 7+ years of experience as a product manager in prioritizing and delivering roadmaps in a software organization
- Build out technical roadmap and negotiate timelines across multiple teams.
- Understand mainframe technology enough to manage the projects.
- Agile development experience.
- Detail oriented and organized
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
- 7+ years of experience in product management or technical program management.
- 3+ years of professional experience practicing formal project management methodologies, particularly Agile-based
- Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
- Have significantly experienced in handling a variety of products and programs
- Expertise in a key technology or platform like mainframe development in a prior role
- Certification such as project management is a plus.
