Introduction
As a Solution Architect for our Generative AI initiatives, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions leveraging IBM’s watsonx platform and state-of the-art pretrained models such as Granite, Mistral, and Llama 3. You will architect scalable, secure, and efficient AI systems on the IBM Cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-impact learning and knowledge solutions within IBM

Your Role and Responsibilities

What would be your responsibilities?

  • Develop and oversee the architectural framework for generative AI solutions, ensuring alignment with IBM’s strategic goals and technical standards.
  • Implement and fine-tune pretrained models such as Granite, Mistral, and Llama 3 to meet specific project requirements.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices in AI development and deployment. Work closely with data scientists, developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of AI components.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, present architectural designs, and align solutions with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI and evaluate their applicability to IBM’s projects.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies that enhance the effectiveness of AI solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize AI models and infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
  • Architect solutions that comply with IBM’s security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.
  • Integrate security measures into the AI solutions, including data encryption, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop detailed documentation, including system diagrams, data flows, integration points, and technical specifications.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across the project.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success

You can work from one of our offices – our center is located in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, and Košice, so you can choose where it suits you best.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience:

  • Minimum 7+ years in software architecture or a related technical role, with significant experience in AI/ML solutions.
  • Proven experience leading AI projects, particularly in generative AI and deploying pretrained models.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM’s watsonx platform and IBM Cloud infrastructure.


Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and their application in generative models.
  • Expertise in deploying and fine-tuning models like Granite, Mistral, and Llama 3.
  • Proficiency with IBM Cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and AI-specific offerings.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala relevant to AI development.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions relevant to AI applications.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, data encryption, and compliance standards.


Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
