Job Description
In your new role your tasks will be:

• Identifying of Technical Market Trends, as well as of Customer- and Application Requirements for target applications and translation of them into Product Requirements for power modules
• Performing of early Concept Estimations for innovative product designs as central interface to our advanced engineering and in close collaboration with our global customers from a variety of applications like EV Charging, Renewable Energy generation, AI Datacenter Power or Motor inverters
• Estimating the expected product performance by electrical- and thermal simulations under customer related application conditions and verifying the performance in application-related prototype tests
• Supporting to drive the product line strategy for new technologies like GaN, SiC and SiC JFET by technical investigations and competitor analysis in collaboration with our technology experts and our product marketing team
• Acting as “internal customer” in strategic development teams to track and ensure that the development status is in line with the market and customer needs and triggering of corrective actions, if needed
• Publication of new products or technology features (e.g. by giving trainings/ creation of papers/ conferences) and Infineon internal know-how share

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in electronics, physics or comparable
• Strong interest in power electronics and semiconductors with at least 8+ years of relevant professional experience in R&D, technical marketing or similar department
• In-depth skills in the simulation of power electronic circuits with tools like PLECS, IPOSIM (SPICE), MATLAB and Simetrix
• The ability to act as a product strategist that has a sense for shaping future product roadmaps that meets future business demands
• High communication skills, open mindset and the ability to establish and maintain social networks with internal and external partners
• A fable for the organization and the status tracking of development projects
• General willingness to travel worldwide to support customers, as well as the Sales and Field Application Engineering teams in different regions
• Good communication skills in English. German would be an additional advantage
