As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at Infineon, you will mainly support our customers during the evaluation and development of their systems. On-the-job training will prepare you for exciting challenges turning you into a specialist of Infineon’s digital products and sub-systems (memory products, microcontroller and other digital products). After all, we offer the opportunity to work in innovative automotive application areas as part of our highly motivated European FAE team. Within this role, you will get the chance to work on and challenge yourself with creative solutions as well as concepts of tomorrow and beyond.

In your new role you will:

• Contribute to the development of modern electronic systems and their implementation in the innovative automotive market
• Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in Europe, with a focus on digital sub-systems based on Microcontroller including Memory Products and Memory Architectures in automotive applications
• Work proactively on digital sub-system solutions for our customer’s applications together with the entire European FAE Team, the Account Managers, the product experts and the different business lines
• Be the expert for digital sub-systems in automotive applications, support our customers in their system design phase and during the evaluation of our products
• Discuss innovative solution and application approaches with our customer development teams and collaborate with our design teams and concept engineering to drive optimized and new product solutions and technologies
• Act in a strategic function in the Automotive Ecosystem
• Validate the application on-site together with the customer, prepare and execute customer presentations and product / application trainings within Germany and Europe

Besides your technical skills and experience gained in your studies and/or internships respective first working experiences, we are looking for a team player. You have very good communication skills and interaction with people. You are interested in new requirements in the automotive market and you like to share your knowledge and experience with your customers and colleagues. Additionally, it is required to act on one’s own initiative, evaluate chances and risks carefully and be willing to go for the extra mile from time to time.

Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, or similar fields
• About 3 years of professional experience in the semiconductor and automotive industries, with a focus on digital products and memories, development tools and software
• Specific knowledge in digital products and sub-systems in automotive applications
• Strong drive, pro-active and autonomous behavior, as well as analytical capabilities and very complex situation solving
• Openness for regular business travels in Germany, in Europe from time to time
• German and English communication skills
