Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Create design specifications for PCB to lay out and manufacture a load board. This includes considering the performance requirements of the device under test (DUT), high parallelism probe card and the complexity of the design.
- Integrate necessary components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, relays, RF components, RF connectors, and onboard circuits into the PCB.
- Ensure that the load board does not introduce distortion, noise, delays, or errors to the testing process of the DUT.
- Design boards with a high layer count and complexity, often upwards of 40 to 60 layers, to accommodate the testing of highly complex devices.
- Testing and Validation: Lead the development, validation, and production support of probe cards and load boards for ATE-based testing of Wi-Fi, SoCs, MCUs, and Bluetooth
- Schematic and Layout Review: Perform board-level schematic and layout reviews for signal integrity, power integrity, and mechanical constraints.
- Fabrication and Assembly: Coordinate with probe card vendors and OSAT partners for fabrication, delivery, and debug.

- Schematic Capture and Editing: EDA software helps users to create and modify electronic schematics with a visual representation of circuit design. It helps them to understand how their product will look before finalization.
- PCB Layout and Routing: This feature of EDA design software helps with the design of circuit boards with components, pads, and traces on a printed circuit board (PCB). Moreover, the layout tool for board design includes routing, verification, and import/export capabilities.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Generation: Bill of material generation is a crucial step in building any enginerial products. EDA tools can list all the necessary materials required and automate the BOM creation process.
- Simulation and Analysis Tools: Simulation helps designers to analyze the behavior and performance of the designed circuits. This makes it possible to identify and address any potential issues that occur before the physical implementation.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience using PCB Layout CAD tools to design high-density, highly constrained HDI boards with fine pitch (<0.5mm) BGAs.
- Proficiency in using PWB design software like PADS or Altium Designer.
- Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis using tools like hyperlynx.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of stray capacitance, inductance, and resistance effect on routing.
- Expert at power plane routing.
- Understanding electronic components and circuit theory.
- Teradyne UltraFLEX, UtraFLEX Plus and Advantest 93K Testers

The Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate in the United States is:
Irvine, CA Minimum of $ 125,700 salary per year / Maximum of $ 172,800 salary per year
San Jose, CA Minimum of $ 141,100 salary per year / Maximum of $ 194,000 salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.”
