We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Augsburg. As a Senior Engineer for Embedded Software & Firmware, you will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and testing of highly reliable and secure software for safety microcontrollers in an agile development process.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Design and development of software modules, meeting timelines, quality, security, and footprint requirements
• Collaborate with Concept Engineers and Product Security teams to understand requirements and drive implementation
• Design and drive the implementation of software solutions, including unit testing and debugging
• Contribute to the technical documentation of the product
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation topics within the Connected Secure Systems area

Your Profile

As a Senior Engineer Embedded Software & Firmware, you have a clear notion of how innovation contributes to the commercial success of the company. Furthermore, you work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient. Lastly, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Embedded Software development, preferably with exposure to crypto algorithms
• Solid experience in designing modularized software architectures in combination with security software development concepts
• Good experience in programming languages (embedded) C and Rust, including unit, component, and integration tests. Secure coding would be a plus
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M architecture and toolchain, memory management, and linking process
• Solid cryptographic know-how and knowledge of security threats and implementing countermeasures are a plus
• Good communication skills in English and German would be a plus
