Then this is exactly the right job for you: as an IC Yield & Product Engineer you will perform analysis of new product performance prior to production release and provide detailed status reports at each phase (test limit - guard band, correlation and yield summary reports). You will analyze and optimize IC products in terms of yield, stability and quality. This includes engineering data analysis, technology/product/test interaction, yield and defectivity learning, as well as verification & validation of products.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Production and test strategy: manufacturability plan, DfT concept
  • Characterization plan
  • 360deg characterization: ensure test coverage and cross-domain-correlations
  • Prepare wafer-split-plan for process window characterization/DOE
  • Limit and guard band definition for all test-program versions
  • Development of Qualification Stress Hardware
  • Provide Qualification drift reports
  • Test-Program development support
  • Test-Program transfer support – Production/RPT
  • ATE test-data analysis and interpretation
  • Support failure analysis requests – ATE/bench/FA
  • Implement productive quality measures: dPAT, SBA, OCAP, QA
  • Provide Yield-roadmap for electrical testing
  • Yield and Cpk analysis and reporting
  • Continuous improvement for Yield and test-time
  • Continuous improvement of data-analysis and reporting methods

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • A university degree in Electronics Engineering (power electronics, semiconductor development) or a related discipline, with 0-3 years of experience in a semiconductor company
  • Detailed understanding of semiconductor product life cycle from post silicon bring up, device characterization, qualification, pre-production support, release to volume production and product sustenance
  • Proficient in at least one data analysis tool (JMP, Spotfire, scripting/ coding)
  • Understanding of electronic circuits (schematics)
  • Experience with GaN or other compound semiconductor devices strongly desired
  • Understanding of statistical analysis techniques (SPC, CPK, CPU, CPL, etc)
  • Familiar with ATE testing concepts
  • Familiar with product knowledge (design and application basics)
  • Understanding of Failure analysis flow and methods
  • Knowledge of semiconductor technology and (fabrication) process is a plus
  • Good knowledge sharing and presentation skills
