Key responsibilities in your new role
- Manages manufacturing and/or production operations including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging.
- Sets production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand and to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
- Performs equipment analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
- Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience); 6–10+ years in high-volume manufacturing
- Expert troubleshooting/repair of electromechanical, PLC-controlled equipment (pneumatics, hydraulics, motion/servos, VFDs)
- Develop and execute preventive/predictive maintenance programs; CMMS/EAM proficiency; improve OEE, MTBF/MTTR
- Read/interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs; skilled with meters/test equipment (CAD a plus)
- Lead equipment installs/upgrades/validations; coordinate vendors/contractors; CapEx and change control experience preferred
- Use root-cause and CI tools (5-Why, FMEA, Lean/TPM; Six Sigma a plus) to boost availability, capability, yield, and cycle time
- Strong documentation and communication; write procedures/reports; mentor technicians; operate with minimal guidance
- Good command of English
