Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for mission-critical Oracle applications
- Architect robust, scalable, and secure Oracle database solutions and data models, ensuring data integrity and high performance across environments
- Perform advanced SQL/PLSQL tuning, including execution plan analysis and proactive performance optimization
- Build and maintain ETL/data integration pipelines using PL/SQL and Oracle tools to transform and move data across systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements; produce technical specifications and manage version control for database objects
- Ensure quality and security by implementing unit/integration tests (e.g., utPLSQL), role-based access control, encryption, and automated deployment scripts
- Operate and maintain production databases: plan and execute releases with minimal downtime, monitor and troubleshoot performance, manage backups/recovery and capacity, and integrate PL/SQL solutions with C++, Perl, and Python applications
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- A Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development with deep expertise in database programming
- Expert-level knowledge in SQL/PL-SQL, including advanced features such as: Collections, bulk operations, dynamic SQL, Advanced querying techniques, analytical functions, CTEs, hierarchical queries, Performance tuning and optimization, Exception handling and debugging
- Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, including tablespaces, partitioning, indexing strategies, and materialized views
- Proven track record of successfully planning, designing, and implementing complex database systems
- Experience with Oracle development tools (SQL Developer, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer), plus database version control (Git, SVN) and CI/CD for DB deployments
- Fluency in English
