Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

As Vice President EWM Key Account Management (f/m/div), you play a key strategic role in shaping Infineon’s external foundry landscape. You act as the primary owner of our external manufacturing strategy, manage critical foundry relationships, and develop long‑term roadmaps that support Infineon’s technology trajectory, business objectives, and supply resilience. Your work directly impacts technology planning, supplier selection, profitability, and risk management across the company.

  • Supplier Relationship Management, communication and escalation handling: You own the relationship with external foundry partners throughout the full supplier lifecycle and serve as the escalation path for supplier‑specific issues
  • Define the foundry-specific Strategy: You develop a comprehensive foundry roadmap in alignment with all relevant stakeholders. This includes technology evolution, long-term volume and, price forecasting, and clear guidance on partner development
  • Assess the long‑term supplier potential: You identify and evaluate the foundry partner considering the overall Infineon strategic needs, balance internal versus external production, reassess IP‑related constraints regularly, and scout new potential areas for cooperation with the foundry partner
  • End-to-End Business Responsibility: You secure mid-/long-term supply and profitability, drive key business decisions, monitor technology and market trends (e.g., heterogeneous integration), and support Infineon’s transformation toward more fab‑less‑like setups in various business units
  • Risk Management: You continuously analyze and prioritize Foundry‑specific risks including geopolitical dynamics and semiconductor cycles, derive guidance for the foundry-related portfolio, and define mitigation strategies for individual foundry partner
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: You consolidate performance data from Operations, Sourcing, and Business Development, assess supplier performance, and define and drive improvement actions including communication and positioning towards suppliers

The position can be filled in Munich or Dresden.

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering , Physics or similar, ideally combined with an MBA
  • At least 12 years of relevant professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing, foundry management, supply chain, technology development, or strategic sourcing
  • Proven track record in managing external manufacturing partners or leading complex supplier‑side engagements
  • Experience in navigating cross‑functional environments involving operations, business units, technology, and procurement
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to assess and prioritize complex topics
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective interaction at all levels, incl. C-level internally and with suppliers
  • Ability to understand commercial, technological, and operational aspects of the semiconductor business
  • High intercultural competence and the ability to navigate and resolve cultural differences
  • Excellent English and German language skills, both written and spoken
