In this role, you will join Infineon’s advanced high-voltage industrial and consumer discrete power semiconductor team as an experienced engineer, where you will shape the technical direction and future roadmap of technologies powering the AI revolution. You will provide strategic technical leadership for wide-bandgap devices, with a primary focus on Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and SiC JFETs, as well as cutting-edge Silicon Super junction MOSFETs. Working at the highest level with key global customers and cross-functional internal teams, you will drive expert-level product design-in support, 3rd-level (and beyond)technical escalation resolution and long-term application strategy for high-efficiency, ultra-high-power density solutions in AI server rack power supplies, battery backup systems, peak-shaving units and other mission-critical AI-driven applications. This is a high impact principal level position with the opportunity to define next-generation power architectures that directly address the exploding energy demands of artificial intelligence while mentoring the next generation of technical talent within the organization.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• ,,Strategically drive product innovation and thought leadership by authoring high-impact application notes, white papers and technical marketing collateral, lead the creation of global technical marketing strategies and spearhead worldwide roadshows.
• ,,Act as the principal technical authority and trusted long-term partner to strategic customers, providing expert guidance throughout the entire design-in lifecycle, successfully resolving the most complex technical escalations, performing deep root-cause analysis from a product and system perspective, and defining effective countermeasures that influence future device roadmaps.
• ,,Provide senior-level leadership and mentoring to junior and senior Application Engineers, sharing deep application knowledge, coaching on complex problem-solving, and fostering technical growth across the global team.
• ,,Build and cultivate strategic, long-term customer relationships at both engineering and executive levels, acting as the primary technical interface to translate customer system roadmaps into Infineon product and innovation requirements.
  
  

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• ,,University degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred), with a strong specialization in Power Electronics.
• ,,10+ years of relevant experience as an Application Engineer or Field Application Engineer in the semiconductor industry, with proven exposure to AI server power supply applications or equivalent high-power, high-efficiency systems.
• ,,Expert-level, deep technical mastery of power semiconductor technologies (Si, SiC, GaN devices and advanced discrete power packages)and power conversion topologies, including AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC applications (bridge/bridgeless PFC, LLC, DAB, Buck, Boost, and related resonant and multi-level topologies).
• ,,Extensive, hands-on expertise with power electronics solutions for AI Data Centers, PV systems, EV chargers, UPS, Energy Storage Systems(ESS), and Solid-State Circuit Breakers (SSCB), including advanced topology selection, power device optimization, and system-level trade-off analysis.
• ,,Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of successfully guiding and developing other engineers, leading technical teams or projects and driving knowledge transfer in a global matrix organization.
• ,,Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic, long-term customer relationships at both technical and executive levels, including the ability to influence customer roadmaps and translate system-level requirements into product innovation.
• ,,Advanced hands-on experience in hardware design, development and testing, including circuit simulation (SPICE and beyond), PCB layout(Altium or Cadence), prototyping, and comprehensive lab/real-world application validation.
• ,,Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin . Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across a global, matrix organization, and to articulate highly complex technical concepts clearly to both technical experts and on-technical audiences.
