As a Staff Engineer in Customer Quality Engineering, you responsible as Problem-Solving Manager (PSM) for assigned module / area of responsibility. Moderate the 8D investigation and corrective/preventive actions (CA/PA), as well as CA/PA follow up until closure with validation for sustainability / effectiveness of actions.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Contact window for Customer Quality & Service (CQS) team for all queries pertaining problem solving related to quality concern
  • Form and provide support to 8D team with the appropriate problem-solving methodology and tools to assure systematic approach
  • Drive event evaluation and effective containment action based on verification results and review based on root cause findings
  • Define / support risk assessment from customer complaint / quality issue whenever necessary
  • Drive for achievement of customer complaint response time (FAR 8D TAT fulfilment & reporting)
  • Fulfilment of 8D report assessment score
  • Ensure completeness and data accuracy of problem-solving database
  • Monitor and provide FAR trend timely to management
  • Coordinate the CA/PA cascading from Critical 8D Sharing Implementation(C8DSI) for respective module / area of responsibility

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • Degree/Master/PhD in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science) or any relevant field
  • Preferred with minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing with good package manufacturing knowledge and quality systematic know how
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer complaint handling in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process, packaging technology, device reliability and failure analysis
  • Good knowledge in 8D problem solving methodology, Fish bone / Cause and Effect analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, 3x5Why, and 6 sigma
  • Knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, including process control, FMEA, OCAP, and SPC tools will be an added advantage
  • Understanding of quality management systems and industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF/VDA, and QMS
  • Good personality, positive mindset, and independent
  • Strong communication, moderation, and presentation skills
