Your Role
We are currently transforming our existing IT landscape from a traditional service structure to a modern microservice based approach in the cloud. The goal is to offer our customers a state-of-the-art platform that supports and optimizes their collaboration with us. As a Cloud Architect for Digital Platforms and Order Services in the Sales & Marketing IT Team, your primary role is to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to our young and agile engineering teams. Activities within the role:
Solution Design and Architecture for scalable high-performance applications
Develop architectural blueprints to guide the development and integration with core enterprise systems
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security policies, and governance frameworks
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for new tools and frameworks to enhance marketing capabilities
Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into a technical solution design
Drive innovation through the adoption of cloud-native services and modern development practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, and microservices architecture
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions
Collaborate with IT, security, and other departments to ensure cloud solutions are aligned with enterprise standards and best practices
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud-based marketing applications
Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical marketing systems
Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance
Your Profile
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in cloud solution engineering or architecture, ideally with a focus on Microsoft Azure
Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and compliance requirements
Experience with APIs, microservices, containerization technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and object-oriented programming (C#, ASP.NET Core)
Knowledge of e-commerce components and architectures
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to less-technical stakeholders
Strong self-motivation for achieving results & personal development
Open to business trips if required & appropriate
Fluent in English & German
