ZEISS Digital Partners unit based in Munich, Oberkochen and Budapest is realizing cutting-edge customer-centric digital solutions jointly with ZEISS business units.

Who we are:

We are a diverse and expanding team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Fullstack Engineers. The team is established to support all ZEISS business units on their way to digitalization. We believe in the importance of cloud and software engineering in our architecture. Our focus is to build data products in the Microsoft Azure cloud. We develop solutions based on structured and unstructured data, mainly using Typescript and Python programming language. We rely on open-source code standards and aim to master our tools.

Job Description
Your role

As a Full-Stack engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Data & Analytics department. Your responsibilities will include:

• Build frontend and backend apps that supports our business colleagues in ZEISS product development
• Provide operational support for our user interfaces
• Measure and optimize system performance
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedure
• Participate in system design consulting

Job Requirements

Your profile

• University degree in computer science, engineering, natural science, mathematics or similar
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS, and Typescript (usage of React is a plus)
• At least 3+ years of full stack development experience with python backend (Django/Flask/Fast API)
• Experience with hosting of web applications in cloud environments (preferably Azure Cloud)
• Expertise in software engineering practices and version control with Git
• Experience of at least one automation solution (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
• Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus
• Familiarity with SCRUM, Kanban, and other agile methodologies is a plus
• Strong communication skills and collaborative team spirit
• Fluent English language skills
