Technical Product Designer – Hydraulics

Set things in motion.

  • Design and modelling of hydraulic components, modules, and systems in 3D CAD, including creation of technical drawings, bills of materials, and additional documentation
  • Dimensioning and specification of hydraulic components such as valves, pumps, cylinders, hosing/piping systems and filtration
  • Interface coordination with procurement, quality assurance, external suppliers and in-house production facilities, e.g. preparation of procurement‑relevant documents and coordination with production planning
  • Creation of assembly instructions, hydraulic circuit diagrams, and system documentation
  • Optimization of existing systems with regard to efficiency, cost, manufacturability and serviceability
  • Support of prototype builds, testing and commissioning

Use your skills.

  • Industrial or academic education as a Technical Product Designer, Technical Draftsman, Design Engineer, or similar qualification. Practical experience as a technician or relevant professional experience is desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals (e.g. fluid technology, hydraulic components and circuit diagrams, pressure levels).
  • Proficient use of common CAD systems (CATIA preferred, Siemens NX welcome)
  • Technical understanding of materials, sealing systems, and surface technologies
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Siemens Teamcenter) is an advantage
  • Basic experience with ERP systems (SAP R/3)
  • Structured and precise working style
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical/problem‑solving skills
  • Team‑oriented mindset and strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for developing complex technical solutions
  • Self-initiative mindset with a sense for responsibility
  • Fluent (technical) English required, German is nice to have
