Senior Cloud Software Engineer - Golang

As a Software Engineer in our IoT Platform Team at Jungheinrich Digital Solutions, you will contribute to building a secure, scalable, and cloud-native infrastructure for connected devices and services. We seek versatile engineers eager to contribute across the entire technology stack including backend, tooling and infrastructure. To implement core components of our IoT platform—from device onboarding to data ingestion and integration with enterprise systems—with a strong DevOps mindset. Our product delivery is guided by the philosophy: “You build it, you run it.”

Set things in motion.

• Develop, optimize, and operate cloud-based products, contributing to all layers: backend, tools, and infrastructure (cloud).
• Build robust backend services with technologies such as Go or Kotlin .
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle—from ideation, technical architecture, implementation, deployment and operations.
• Embrace the DevOps mindset: ensure quality, reliability, security, and maintainability by monitoring your solutions in production, writing well-tested code, and continuously improving deployments (CI/CD).
• Work collaboratively in agile, self-organized, and cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews, pair/mob programming, and technical analysis sessions.
• Support product scaling, performance, and high availability by leveraging cloud-native architectures (preferably AWS or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CDK).
• Participate in technical planning, prioritize tasks in alignment with business value, and keep the customer’s needs at the center of your work.
• Drive and embrace innovation—evaluate and integrate new technologies and best practices to improve our products and ways of working.

Use your skills.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience building and operating modern applications and cloud-based services—covering backend, tooling, and infrastructure aspects.
• Hands-on experience with backend languages such as Go or Kotlin.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure).
• Experience with developing and operating services around IoT platforms is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software quality principles—clean code, testing (unit/integration), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, CDK) and familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong grasp of performance, scalability, concurrency, and modern architectural paradigms (REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, domain-driven design).
• Comfortable working with either relational or NoSQL databases.
• Agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments; thrives in collaborative, international, and self-organized teams.
• Excellent English skills in speech and writing (C1); German is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools across all phases of the software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Creative, solution-oriented, and eager to continuously learn and share knowledge with peers.
