Dematic has a critical need within our System Engineering department. We are currently for top talent to lead our System Engineering Simulation team within our Pune, India location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a growing team of Simulation Engineers. Key deliverables for you and your team will include the following:

• Deliver simulation engineering objectives (# of projects simulated at or below budgeted costs while meeting quality objectives).
• Develop highly competent simulation engineers.
• Provide performance management to employees (coaching, counseling, training, and discipline)
• Identify and execute ideas to improve simulation processes & tools

In this exciting opportunity, you will have direct impact on the Material Handling System simulation. This is a critical process to not only validate the solution concept, but also to validate system detailed designs, changes to the concept or design, and impact due to changes in operational profiles.

The ideal candidate will be willing and able to support project teams across the globe. You will also champion collaboration with Operations Research, Simulation COE, and Solution Development Simulation teams.

Detailed Accountabilities (including but not limited to):

• Deliver simulation engineering objectives (# of projects simulated at or below budgeted costs while meeting quality objectives).
• Develop and execute annual planning processes to ensure proper staffing levels, budget needs, execute tools and process improvements.
• Working cross functionally, ensure engineers are adequately trained and tested for competency levels.
• Foster a culture of EHS and Compliance to protect our employees, company, customers, and partners.
• Provide performance management to employees (coaching, counseling, training, and discipline).
• Ensure adherence to department policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
• Partner with functional and global peers to develop Simulation standards.
• Provide real world test results feedback to the Simulation COE, Operations Research, and Solution Development teams in order to improve Simulation accuracy.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in either Controls, Software, Industrial, or Systems Engineering equivalents, required
• 7+ years experience in engineering with demonstrated experience in systems engineering
• 3+ years experience within a people leadership role, demonstrated use of performance management tools
• Preferred background in C/C++, Python or VBA, Data analysis
• Discrete event simulation software experience such as AutoMod, FlexSim, AnyLogic or Plant Simulation strongly preferred

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software
• Self-starter with demonstrated ability to influence and deliver on continuous improvement projects
