Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of the Dematic ANZ Mechanical Design Engineering Team. Provide excellence in mechanical design service, customer support and project management across the business.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

• Management of ANZ Mechanical Design Engineering Group of up to 30 employees

• Strategic Management of the Engineering Group as a member of the Engineering Executive

• Recruitment and development of staff

• Drive continuous improvement strategies and innovation across the team

• Support Engineering Director and Project Managers to ensure the Mechanical Design Engineering integrity of projects is maintained and overseen

• Provide superior levels of Mechanical Design Engineering service, customer support and staffing for projects, sales and R&D activities

• Proactively promote innovation, improvements, risk identification and safety management

• Collaboration with the greater APAC team

• Maintain Mechanical Design Engineering Excellence

• Oversight of Mechanical Design Engineering activities

• Cost control of budgets for the department and on projects

• Support Sales and Consulting Group

• Proposal development and estimating

About You - What We Are Looking For

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

• Strong team management experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics

• Knowledge of material handling market

• 10+ years Mechanical Design experience

• Exceptional leadership skills and experience managing a technical team

• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer facing presentation skills

• Experience working on multidiscipline engineering projects

• Working knowledge of best practice mechanical design engineering industry standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the mechanical engineering discipline
