We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to support us in the development and maintenance of our KION Machine Vision platform.
As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the selection of software building blocks and for the orchestration and maintenance of libraries, SDKs and frameworks.
You will support our team of application developers by providing and continuously developing the build environments. You will also be responsible for the production of the software using appropriate CI/CD pipelines.
You will work with our Linux team to build our KION.OS, which will run on forklifts and warehouse equipment of various sizes.
You will also develop and deploy maintenance tools for the platform that will be used by KION's software developers and service network worldwide.
You will also be responsible for collaborating with and supporting our external development partners

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

You have a university degree with a technical focus, preferably in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering or similar.
You bring competence and preferably experience in building and maintaining large software projects for applications on embedded Linux
You have the ability to overview complex software architectures and to develop them further in a future-oriented way and you have expert knowledge in the area of machine vision and related topics
You have experience with Linux, Python, C/C++, SDKs for image processing, engines for AI models, robotics frameworks, CI/CD, build and test environments
You bring strong communication skills to build a network, both in a research context and with technology vendors combined with the ability to present complex issues in a simple and structured way
Very good English skills complete your profile
