• We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to support us in the development and maintenance of our KION Machine Vision platform.
• As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the selection of software building blocks and for the orchestration and maintenance of libraries, SDKs and frameworks.
• You will support our team of application developers by providing and continuously developing the build environments. You will also be responsible for the production of the software using appropriate CI/CD pipelines.
• You will work with our Linux team to build our KION.OS, which will run on forklifts and warehouse equipment of various sizes.
• You will also develop and deploy maintenance tools for the platform that will be used by KION's software developers and service network worldwide.
• You will also be responsible for collaborating with and supporting our external development partners

Tasks and Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• You have a university degree with a technical focus, preferably in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering or similar.
• You bring competence and preferably experience in building and maintaining large software projects for applications on embedded Linux
• You have the ability to overview complex software architectures and to develop them further in a future-oriented way and you have expert knowledge in the area of machine vision and related topics
• You have experience with Linux, Python, C/C++, SDKs for image processing, engines for AI models, robotics frameworks, CI/CD, build and test environments
• You bring strong communication skills to build a network, both in a research context and with technology vendors combined with the ability to present complex issues in a simple and structured way
• Very good English skills complete your profile
