We are seeking a Software Developer to join our global Development Operations team who fully support our engineering and technical teams with the development of tools across the world. This opportunity will see you working with a bespoke software tool used by Dematic’s engineers to visually aid in the design of our automation systems.

The tool allows our engineers to combine multiple components within our total automation solutions to test and generate 3D/2D models of what the overall solution would look like and perform. It has been developed using a gaming engine to make the tool as user-friendly as possible and your role will work to help develop the software further for engineering.

You will be responsible for the software development of the Dematic extension used in the Configura CET Designer application. This extension, along with the base software, is used internally to design and provide material handling systems for our customers. This person will work within a global development team to ensure quality and provide effective solutions for the end users.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $ 53,000 - 113,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Proficient in object-oriented programming language with extensible syntax.

  • Willingness to work closely with other developers to gain an understanding of new features, dependencies, and technical details.

  • Must be self-motivated with analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with good interpersonal skills.

  • Team player with attention to detail, ability to research solutions, and a willingness to learn.

  • Sense of ownership and pride in creating impactful and quality code.

What We are Looking For:

  • Experience with 3D design applications or 3D game development would be advantageous.

  • Experience with CET Designer or CET Developer is desirable.

  • Knowledge of Visual Studio, C++, or C-Sharp is essential to the role.

  • Experience in a Scrum / Kanban environment using Jira / Confluence is desirable.

  • Experience with SQL to retrieve and manipulate structured databases.

  • Experience producing, maintaining, and publishing catalogues would be desirable.

  • Knowledge of streamlined workflows for commits, branches, merge requests, and Jira-issues a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good technical skills and ability to learn new applications quickly.

  • Strong problem-solving skills; self-starter; detail-oriented.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the position.

  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of planning, analysis, and testing. techniques required to support Windows-based and web-based applications.
