This position will be part of the KION Group - Mobile Automation team! KION Mobile Automation (KMA) is the world-leading, fast-growing, innovative frontrunner in the development of mobile robotics, robotic fleet controllers and cloud-based fleet logistics management systems. KMA has a focus on Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. AGVs are fully autonomous robots that move and transport items in production, warehouse, and distribution centers without manual intervention or permanent conveying systems.

What we offer:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall teams and project items for automation projects
  • Developing and managing multiple, concurrent project plans/schedules
  • Monitoring & controlling projects daily to track and document progress
  • Interfacing with the customer as a primary point of contact on projects
  • Identifying and managing scope, schedule, project resources, risks, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
  • Routinely communicate project status, resource utilization, and high-level project schedule to executive management and related project team members
  • Monitoring and maintaining the financial performance of the project
  • Aligning cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities
  • Removing, proactively, obstacles to drive momentum and progress
  • Identifying gaps in communication or schedule, provide support to teams balancing competing priorities and drive results
  • Aligning, monitoring, and driving project milestones and technical deliverables to completion
  • Ensuring leadership has a comprehensive understanding of projects, timelines, dependencies, etc.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of project management experience
  • Prior experience managing people or processes
  • Experience in project management, product development lifecycle, or process management
  • Experience managing automation projects that include (but are not limited to): automated guided vehicles, automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyor systems, warehouse management software, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP systems
  • Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Material Handling experience a plus
  • Ability to understand information quickly, derive insight, synthesize information clearly and concisely, and devise solutions
  • Inclination to take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives and independently drive for results
  • Ability to interface at all levels of the organization within and outside of the company
  • Demonstrated self-confidence, honesty, and integrity
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25% travel (including international)

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or related field
