Tasks and Qualifications:
This is What you Will Do in This Role:
You will have multiple on-site administrative responsibilities, using prescribed guidelines and policies, which include, but are not limited to
Environmental Compliance
- Support the execution of product environmental compliance projects, focusing on areas such as PFAS management and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in environmental regulations (f.e. EU EcoDesign Product Regulation ESPR) impacting value chain partners and industry standards.
- Support the development and updating of environmental product requirements compliance documentation and procedures.
PFAS Project Management:
- Develop and execute project plans for PFAS-related initiatives within KION's global procurement organization.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success in addressing PFAS concerns in our supply chain.
- Manage timelines and resource allocation for PFAS-related projects.
- Lead project meetings and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop response rate strategies, with a focus on PFAS management in the context of performance management.
- Collaborate with our 3P (Assent) to implement, assess and improve suppliers' PFAS-related practices.
- Develop education for suppliers impacted by PFAS regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on PFAS-related findings.
- Develop and deliver presentations on project progress and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance reporting for relevant PFAS regulations and standards.
LCA / C2C Supplier Data Collection
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to collect environmental data from suppliers, including for Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).
- Create and optimize data collection processes to increase supplier response rates and data quality.
- Manage and maintain environmental databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Supplier Engagement and Education
- Develop educational content for suppliers on various environmental topics, including compliance requirements, PFAS, LCA data provision, and sustainability best practices.
- Support the delivery of supplier training programs and workshops.
- Collaborate with the supplier engagement team to improve supplier participation in environmental initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Compile and analyse supplier data response rates.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance status, and supplier sustainability performance.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate environmental data to stakeholders.
Collaborate with other sustainability initiatives within the organization and CTO functions
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical management, sustainable procurement, environmental project management or related field.
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance requirements and sustainability metrics.
- Proven track record in supplier engagement and data collection strategies.
- Knowledge of PFAS chemistry or similar and related environmental frameworks and regulations.
- Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment principles and data requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
