Tasks and Qualifications:
Main Job Objectives
- Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
- To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
- To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
- To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
- Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
- Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum
- Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
- Experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software
- Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
- Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
- Good understanding of bus systems
- Understanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential
- Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential
- Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
- Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
Special Conditions:
- Role will require 80% travel to customer sites within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
