    Tasks and Qualifications:

    Main Job Objectives

    • Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
    • To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
    • To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
    • To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
    • Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
    • Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.


    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum
    • Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
    • Experience in a similar role
    • Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software
    • Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
    • Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
    • Good understanding of bus systems
    • Understanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential
    • Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential
    • Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
    • Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.
    • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering


    Special Conditions:

    • Role will require 80% travel to customer sites within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
