This field service engineer role will include, repairs, service and maintenance to a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

The role is based in the Norfolk/ Suffolk region, covering the NR & IP postcodes. Ideally this role will be based in the centre of the patch around Norwich. This is an Up-skiller position

We offer:

  • To find, diagnose and rectify faults on customer FLT’s as deemed necessary, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible

  • To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe work place.

  • Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/It systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers

  • Liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly

  • Work under own initiative without constant supervision

  • To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Manager or Controller if in arrears

  • Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.

  • To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct

  • To obtain hour meter readings /site information as requested by Controllers

  • Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failures

  • To take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department

  • Any other duties which arise as a result of duties as above

Tasks and Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent associated occupation - to be up-skilled to match

  • Electrical hydraulic and/or mechanical competencies

  • Hold a full and valid driving licence
