Tasks and Qualifications:

Your tasks:

  • You are responsible for managing and strategically developing international key accounts in the retail segment, predominantly with headquarters in Germany.

  • You manage a portfolio of less than a dozen major retail customers and build long-term relationships with decision-makers negotiating with different points of contact (e.g. in Procurement, Finance, Energy, Automation...).

  • You independently take responsibility for international tenders and framework agreements and involve all relevant stakeholders on both the customer and Linde sides.

  • As a central interface, you coordinate collaboration with internal departments such as National Key Account Management, Service, Pricing, Tender Management, Product Management and Sales Management.

  • You ensure the achievement of agreed revenue and profitability targets and develop structured Customer Development Plans (CDP) to strategically steer sales activities.

  • You identify customer needs at an early stage and drive suitable solution approaches – for example in the areas of automation, digitalization, energy, or safety.

  • In complex negotiations, you lead discussions with experienced procurement organizations and manage projects in a structured manner from the initial discussion through contract closure.

Your qualifications:

  • A degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable qualification would be an advantage.

  • You bring extensive experience in key account management, sales, or international project management.

  • You have solid experience working with large procurement organizations and demonstrate strong negotiation skills in complex international customer relationships.

  • Ideally, you have industry knowledge in the retail sector (e.g., food, sports, or DIY) and preferably some exposure to intralogistics or material handling solutions.

  • You work analytically, in a structured and goal-oriented way, and maintain a clear overview even in complex projects.

  • You communicate confidently across different hierarchical levels, have strong communication and teamwork skills, and operate comfortably in an international environment.

  • You demonstrate courage, initiative, and assertiveness, and are willing to take responsibility in a dynamic and challenging market environment.

  • Very good German and English language skills, as well as strong time and stress management skills, complete your profile.
