JOB DESCRIPTION:

Systems Proposal Engineer

Summary/Objective
This role is responsible for providing tender/proposal support for new (OEM) projects as well as re-work and service projects.

 

Essential Functions

  • Read and document customer specifications
  • Create and fill out compliance matrix
  • Coordinate activities and staff members to construct proposal
  • Create proposal drawings including wiring, top level, part
  • perform administration such as time recording project numbers setup
  • Support meetings with Mechanical Systems Engineering and Marketing in conjunction with customers to review specifications and requirements of projects
  • Support project initialization phase, which includes the selection of product to meet the specifications
  • Creation of the preliminary bill of materials, drawings using CAD system and work costing estimations
  • Provide support and assistance to other colleagues, as directed, and any other duties as requested.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies. 
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
  • Maintain several projects at once
  • Provide status reports on projects
  • Understand and articulate project risks
  • Manage tender documentation

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Foreign Equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Computer science, computer engineering or similar required
  •  3 Years of related experience
