Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

  • Database Design: Design and implement the database architecture for our EduTech project, considering the scalability, performance, and security requirements of the system. Ability to understand existing SQL design, ER diagrams and SQL stored procedures used in current systems for enabling migrations.
  • SQL Expertise: Demonstrate extensive working experience in SQL design for large systems, including the ability to design, normalize and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures and schemas. Understand existing SQL designs and systems to plan for successful database migrations.
  • SQL Stored Procedures Conversion: Utilize modern programming languages such as Python to convert existing SQL stored procedures into code that can be executed programmatically. Translate business requirements and logic embedded in stored procedures into maintainable, reusable and efficient code.
  • Data Integration and ETL: Design and implement data integration processes, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows. Develop scripts and programs to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the database.
  • NoSQL Databases: Possess a strong understanding of NoSQL databases (e.g., DocumentDB, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and their appropriate use cases. Utilize this knowledge to design and implement efficient data models using NoSQL technologies wherever applicable.
  • AWS Cloud: Utilize your expertise in AWS cloud services, particularly in relation to database management and optimization, to effectively deploy and manage databases in a cloud environment.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of databases, including query optimization, index optimization, and other performance-enhancing techniques. Monitor and analyze database performance using appropriate tools and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance.
  • Scalability and High Availability: Implement database solutions that can scale seamlessly to handle increasing data volumes and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Data Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures and access controls to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of EduTech project data.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, infrastructure team, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide guidance on database-related matters, and ensure the successful integration of the database architecture with the overall system.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Document the database architecture, design decisions, and best practices to ensure proper knowledge transfer and maintainability of the system.
