The Role

Your Role and Responsibilities

Maintain, support, and troubleshoot the ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana) used for logging, searching, troubleshooting, and incident response.

Performance monitoring and tuning of ELK clusters.

Dashboard creation and maintenance.

Alerting creation and maintenance.

Index maintenance and index pattern maintenance.

Design, build/update, deploy and support custom tools, scripts and integrations that provide systemic automation to tasks that need to be performed on top of log infrastructure.

Exercise a high degree of responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools created and managed.

Strong expertise with bash.

Understanding of databases and data modeling.

Strong experience in design, build, deploy, maintain and enhance ELK platform
Strong experience in installing/deploying and configuring ELK on linux (debian, RHEL) and Elastic Cloud.

Strong experience in using Elastic search Indices, Elastic search APIs, Kibana Dashboards, Logstash and Beats

Capacity Planning of Elastic Search Cluster

Fine-tuning techniques of bulk indexing and querying

Experience in Designing & Data Modeling, Bulk Document Indexing & Search API's in Elastic Search


Strong experience with content visualization in ELK including Dashboard, Canvas, Monitoring alert, and role configuration.

Strong understanding of IT service management (Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge management.

Experience in integrating ELK with enterprise tools and APIs, for example for authentication and authorization

Good experience in using or creating plugins for ELK

Good experience in enhancing Open source ELK for custom capabilities

Previous experience with automation and driving real-time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into cluster health and key performance indicators. Technical understanding of core logging and monitoring architecture.

Ability to work across teams to continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer and engineering reported issues, and proactively identify areas in need of optimization.

Required Skills

We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience in a ELK administration.

Experience administering, building, and/or deploying the ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, X-pack).

Work with team to gather requirements, research, evaluate, design, plan, deploy, and support the ELK stack on Linux, Cloud. Build highly-resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems.
