The Role

Kyndryl is looking for an experienced Middleware & Job Scheduling Administrator with strong expertise in Hitachi JP1, IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, and IBM WebSphere technologies. The candidate will be responsible for job scheduling, monitoring, middleware administration, and ensuring high availability of enterprise applications.

Develops, maintains, and manages client relationships to ensure client satisfaction and maximizes sales productivity. Supports the end-to-end fulfillment process and operations to develop and implement value-add client solutions and growth enablement. Includes understanding and communicating key client needs and information, conducting and facilitating client visits and reviews, and having a deep understanding of clients and internal processes. Technical resource with excellent Japanese translation & interpretation skills will be an add on.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

  • Administer and support Hitachi JP1 Job Scheduler / JP1 Job Scheduling Software

  • Create, modify, and monitor batch jobs and scheduling workflows

  • Troubleshoot job failures and ensure timely resolution

  • Manage and monitor alerts using IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus

  • Perform event monitoring, incident management, and alert configuration

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)

  • Deploy and manage applications on WebSphere environments

  • Perform performance tuning, patching, and capacity planning

  • Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for issue resolution

  • Maintain documentation and follow ITIL processes

  • Operate and monitor JP1 servers, including start‑up, shutdown, and status verification

  • Collect JP1 server capacity and performance data and create operational reports

  • Register, modify, and delete jobs in the JP1 scheduling environment

  • Analyze job execution times and investigate delays or abnormal behavior

  • Respond to operational inquiries and coordinate with vendors when necessary

  • Support incident and issue resolution in collaboration with internal teams

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management projects.

  • Strong experience in Hitachi JP1 Job Scheduler

  • Hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus

  • Experience in IBM WebSphere and IBM WebSphere Application Server

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments

  • Understanding of middleware architecture and batch processing

  • Experience in production support environment

  • Hands‑on experience with JP1 job scheduling operations

  • Ability to perform JP1 server operations (start/stop/status checks)

  • Experience managing job definitions and schedules

  • Basic analytical skills to assess job execution performance

  • Strong adherence to procedures, with the judgment to handle exceptions when needed

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • IT Service Management: Proven track record of delivering IT Service Management (ITIL) infrastructure projects.

  • Incident Handling: Proficient in handling incidents, problems, and changes.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of IT environments.

  • Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders in Japan and India.
