Job Highlights

Combining market, industry and customer awareness with thorough understanding of LANXESS capabilities, the Product Manager Aroma Chemicals is:

  • responsible for managing aroma chemical ingredients of Bunisess Unit F&F. He/She has to define and implement the marketing strategy (price, product, place, promotion) and execute business processes and projects in close collaboration with the sales, supply chain, regulatory, sustainability and innovation teams in order to optimize and grow the financial performance of the portfolio.
  • responsible for the development of a global market plan and strategy (product/application/customer) in alignment with the global marketing director. He/She will participate in strategic projects, e.g. analysis of global competitor landscape, changes in regulatory landscape, analyzing customers, markets and trends and defining and targeting growth markets and growth regions for the Aroma Chemicals industry. Focus is on the Flavors & Fragrances market, but adjacent markets for the Aroma Chemical products are also important (agro chemicals, pharma, industrial)
  • Key task is to analyze business data and to define and execute marketing strategy per market, product and customer in close cooperation with colleagues of other functions.

Requirements

  • University degree in business, economics or engineering or neighboring areas
  • 3-5 years or more work experience in business, marketing, product management or related fields
  • Experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry or Flavors & Fragrance is an advantageous but not mandatory
  • Willingness to occasionally travel worldwide
  • Strong Analytical skills and data driven in combination with self-propelled mind set with strong decision making and problem solving skills. Attitude of taking up challenges and getting things done.
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English, other languages skills such as German are beneficial
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Mainly Excel), SAP and LXS tools
