We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (all genders) based in Berlin or working remotely in Europe.

Your mission with us:

You will work with a full-stack engineering team, building high-quality, efficient, reliable, and elegant software. You will help us build a perfect product for online language learning and contribute to improving our product architecture.

Your Tasks:

Not just delivering business features but also tackling purely technical tasks and cleaning up the existing code
Maintaining awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly regarding usability and emerging technologies
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to deliver new functionalities.

You bring to Lingoda

5+ years of solid experience creating web applications using PHP, Symfony 5/6/7, and Doctrine
Good knowledge and practical experience with OOP and design patterns, as well as with modern architectural approaches
Experience with DDD, hexagonal architecture, and TDD
Passionate about code quality. Writing tests and documentation belongs to your natural workflow
Working with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to solve a common goal
Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team
Fluent English skills (C level), German language skills are a bonus

You are able to cooperate with team members and share knowledge and experience with them
